NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, no talking about it until I have seen it. I am going at 4pm MST so until then, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I could eat my feet I'm so excited. Don't worry K, as soon as I'm out the door I am so calling you.

Oh, and you are so hard core, going at midnight!

I'm afraid the movie will ruin the book!!!!!!

Annie, I did see it but as requested by MJ I will hold off saying anything. That said, I have SO MUCH more to say (whisper...me too...whisper)

MJ -out the door?! Dude, when the credits roll I want your cell phone ready. Kidding. Kind of.

Natalie, I thought you had read them. No? I don't think they can be ruined if you already have the first impression. I'm totally not intending to push anyone into seeing it, though.

I'm going tonight at 7:15. It's all I can think about. My sister-in-law called me this morning and told me how it was (she went to the midnight showing) and it made me even more excited!!!!!! I'm not expecting a lot, but I know I'll love it just because I simply love anything that has to do with Twilight!!!!

I'm sorry, you can totally dish, I just won’t check until after I have seen it.

I'm not expecting much, though I am hoping for something entertaining and vaguely like the book. We shall see. Even if I don't like it I can still see myself seeing it again.

Well, let's be honest, I'm going today and again on Tuesday with book club friends. I just hope it isn't painful, and we all know there is a mighty big chance of that.

So please discuss away, I will just check back in later.

I will get Natalie and we will go see it. I am sure Lakin is probably going today or tomorrow. Brittany and Melissa went last night at midnight; I still save my midnight showings for Harry Potter!
I'm sure I will love it.
I know I will cry.
We will talk later.

I LOVED IT!!!!!!!! I wasn't expecting a lot and I told myself I wasn't going to be too critical of anything, and I thoroughly enjoyed every single minute!!!! Bella was awesome-I thought she acted perfectly. I won't say the same about Edward, but I still liked him a lot. I can't wait to see it again!!!!!!

i was kind of bugged by bella, but

a. it's probably my bitter jealousy
b. she bugged me in the book too.

i thought it was pretty entertaining. not earth shattering, but it refreshed my crush on a particularly beautiful vampire. ugh.

But does Cedric Diggory look anything like your imagined Edward? Therein lies my reluctance to see the movie.

Erika said...

Yes, Bella bugged me in the book but I actually liked her better in the movie. The flashbacks were lame-they should have left all those out like when Carlisle is biting Edward and Esme--total cheese whiz.

mk mk i want to hear what you thought!!

I did not love the movie. Robert Pattinson did not fit my idea of Edward so that just kind of threw everything else off. Maybe I'm just too old??

I did like the casting choices for: Bella, Charlie, Esme, Jacob (he was adorable) and the other high school kids.

I can't tell if I'm totally prejudice because of loving the books. I think I'll need to see it again to really know how I feel about it.

Right now, mostly I'm conflicted. Maybe it wasn't terrible and officially I'm telling people it was okay.

How's that for wishy-washy?

Meg, have you gone with Natalie yet?

I'm having a hard time getting myself to go due to the casting of Edward. And his makeup. During all of the trailers I keep thinking he should be featured in an early Duran Duran video and not THIS movie. I know he is a vampire, but it isn't supposed to be so obvious is it? And I'm feeling kind of lame that I even feel disappointed in the smallest way.

I've heard from people who have seen it that they liked it better the second time around. I'm taking Gwen to see it tomorrow and I'm actually excited. Even though there are plenty of things wrong with it, I think there are plenty of great things about it! It's entertaining if nothing else, don't you think?

miss kitti: that's pretty much what i thought. i didn't mind the choice for edward so much, but then, i'm a jacob-ian, so...
i also thought the make up was terrible and i didn't like the soundtrack and the writing was not so great, nor the directing. but yes, the choices for the other characters were good and that the acting was good, for the most part.
so, all in all, not a cinematic masterpiece, but a good bit of fun. i think i need to see it again...

Erika, totally entertaining and I loved seeing it with a theater full of fans.

No! Meg and I haven't gone yet, but now that we are back in town and the initial rush is over I intend to make this a priority. After reading all these posts I feel so left out!
